First of all, I'm not Bliss, I'm trish. I'm not a train nut nor a computer geek. I decided to do this blog for my mom to update her on the grandkids. But first a word from Aerro:

Early last week Nick figured his mom went to work so Nick should go to work. I told him he did work Nick's work was school. Tutu's School started with some music appreciation after all Paint Rock's only music classes are in the second grade when the kids sing some Halloween songs on a Karaoke machine at the Fall Festival. We started with the songs on the baby Einstein: The William Tell Overture by Rossini, The 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky. Then we found the Marine band playing Souza's Stars and Stripes Forever. Later we found some kid videos on colors, shapes, animal sounds and of course Head, shoulders knees and toes got us started on naming the body parts. Last year around Christmas time we found Carol of the Bells the boys really liked the drum cover, (especially Cooper) which lead us to discover the Piano guys who have become a staple introducing us to Mozart and Beethoven.

We are working on our second year for patriotic songs Nick knows all the words to the Star Spangled Banner and Your a Grand Old Flag. Maybe we can get a video of him and Aerro singing it. That's another thing we are learning about; we put the flag up on the flagpole and find the flags hanging in the neighborhood, lucky for us we have accommodating neighbors we now have 11 or 12 United States of America flags and two Texas state flags on our walk.

Our new music is the flight of the Bumble Bee, Ode to Joy (Just the piano they didn't like the symphony) Gene Kelly Singing in the Rain (it rained for a few days). Nick and Coop are fascinated by a grown man splashing in the puddles; needless to say we played in the rain, mostly golf. In preparation for Christmas we are also learning the Hallelujah Chorus and For Unto Us a Child is Born from Handel's Messiah. Nick and Ryan are entranced by the music, Cooper enjoys it, he was listening to the flight of the bumble bee, when I asked him if he could hear the bumble bee buzzing around in the music. Cooper jumped up ran around the room and buzzed over to each dog and pinched them like he was a bee.

It's summer now we still do colors by looking out the window and naming the things we see that are the same color as the M&Ms. We are teaching Ryan to make animal sounds. We play the geometry game by naming a shape on the end table and eating a fruit snack. Cooper likes to eat his like a dog. Of course we have swimming lessons in the pool, sunscreen is a great way to learn body parts.
